A product designer who photographs the businesses he builds for.
I'm Melvin Morales. I studied at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and have spent my career as a product designer, building software people log into and use to do their jobs.
Proview Studio started in 2017 as the place that work happened outside of a company. Websites, brand systems, and custom software for businesses that needed something built for how they actually operate.
The photography came out of the same problem. Clients needed images their sites could use, and hiring that out meant waiting on somebody else's schedule and accepting whatever came back. Doing both removed the handoff, and it is now the reason to hire the studio at all.
Four industries, from the inside.
Most studios learn an industry from a discovery call. These are sectors I have designed products inside of, which is a different kind of knowing.
Legal
Product design at NetDocuments, in legal document management. Matters, documents, versioning, and the workflows a firm actually runs on, rather than a guess at them from the outside.
Healthcare
Product work in healthcare, where intake, records, and privacy requirements shape every screen. Clinics do not need a brochure. They need the paperwork to stop being paperwork.
Wellness and fitness
Booking, scheduling, membership, and retention. The operational problems behind a practice or a studio, not just the storefront in front of them.
Logistics
Systems where the physical world and the software have to agree. Tracking, status, exceptions, and the reporting that has to survive an audit.
What is behind the work.
Education
Bachelor's degree, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston.
Product design
Career product designer. Applications, portals, and internal tools, shipped and in use, not concepts.
FAA Part 107
Certified remote pilot. Commercial drone flight legally requires it, and we file the airspace authorization a location needs before a date is confirmed.
What Proview has built.
Applications and portals
Client portals, invoicing platforms, booking systems, and internal tools built when an off the shelf product does not fit how a business already works.
Websites and online stores
Marketing sites, e-commerce, and single property sites. Engineered rather than assembled from a page builder, and owned by the client.
Brand and print
Identity systems, capability decks, document design, and collateral that matches the website because it came from the same place.
Photography and aerial
Facility, property, portrait, and aerial work, shot to be used in the material it was commissioned for.
The person photographing your business has designed software inside your industry. The brief does not have to explain how your work works.
Las Vegas, and opening in the Brazos Valley.
The studio was built in Las Vegas and is opening in Bryan and College Station, Texas. Work continues in both markets, and travel outside them is quoted per project.
